Comfort and fashion are often considered separately. There’s fashion/art- that generates excitement, demands notice, and engagement; then there’s comfort- that encourages set-back –whose goal of course, is feeling good.
As an artist in surface design- where the goal is to create art for textiles, I’m torn. As the artist, I anchor myself in the introspective. (You know, the really real, the DEEP, etc.?). As one who has also to deliver sales, there is constant churn about strategy and outreach. No pressure.
