Today was a difficult day, once again navigating the days preceding my older sister’s passing. As difficult as one can imagine that is, it’s sometimes harder to navigate other family needs related to their responses. It’s all part of life. We have the power to change some of it, but most, not so much.

As an artist, I’m forever grateful for access to creativity that helps mitigate external forces beyond my control. I treasure the ability to tap into the energy that exercises beauty and strength for good.

After much experimentation, I revised the green lily pad to an open dark blue print I preferred as background for a sprightly spray of white tulips, roses and daffodils.

I had the pleasure of shooting a fantastic local lily pond a few years ago. Finally, today, I captured a piece of a lily pad- in a first pass at what I’m sure will afford many more opportunities. While I thrilled to the pattern of said lily pad..the green color, not so much. Now, some people complain about my excessive use of flowers. I, on the other hand simply can’t get enough. I’ve named the new scarf “Mardi Gras.” I haven’t yet test printed it, but soon…! Many other scarves are available to order direct today.

Aqua Darling is a stunner, anytime of year.

Not everybody is a visual artist. Music also has the power remove everyday stress. Some music can lift you above stress into a joyous place. Tedeschi Trucks Band, does that. This song called Everybody’s Talkin’, was published in 2012. Love it? Check out their tour schedule– I plan to.
