Seasonal Optimism – Azalea Bloom in Autumn

I was surprised to find this bloom on one of the azalea bushes yesterday as I was weeding in preparation for their autumn holly tone application. I’m pretty sure the bush bloomed in early spring.  I was glad to see there weren’t any other buds this close to snowfall in Litchfield, Connecticut… Must be a left over. Related Images:

There’s No Place Like Home In The Garden

This past year, I lived in Greenville, South Carolina and worked diligently at sourcing printers and fabric for my new line of decorative pillows. My husband and I lived in a little apartment- he went off to work and I stayed home working on cost of goods, color correcting digital art files and reviewing printed samples. Frequent trips out to suppliers and home décor markets took me to various places including North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia. I learned a lot. And I loved the area. We had just started making friends when it was time to return home to Connecticut.
