Valentine’s 2016 is around the corner

And so we begin. February 1 marks the first day of this year’s march to Valentine’s Day. Each post in this period will be devoted to bringing you something new, something beautiful or fun, just because.. too much time is devoted to doing things that we must! Related Images:

NY NOW Naturally

Heading out to NY NOW Tuesday to do homage to many who are displaying their wares and scores of others who shop for new products for the coming year. At present, displaying at Javitts isn’t what this artist is choosing to do with her dollars. I always attend to better understand the general consensus for design, trends and colors. In the end I let nature take its course. Related Images:

It was fun not being behind the camera because I got to choose pretty things and set up the various shots. The tallow berries were beautiful – ironically white like the snow we haven’t had here in Connecticut. Of all of them, this photo made me think of Spring, and shooting around outside. Related Images:

Winter Woodland

We’re still waiting for that winter wonderland in Litchfield, Connecticut. I’m not complaining. It just seems odd that Christmas has come and gone without any snow to speak of. Will winter feel longer when it does? Just sending off my sister back to Ames, Iowa after a few days. Now, the holidays are officially over as we head back to our REAL lives. Related Images:

The Rise of the Color Police

Fashion forward décor has led to the rise of the Color Police in the past few years. Sadly, color has been stamped out from literally every aspect of home décor – walls, window coverings and furniture-even life itself. And no, texture is not a substitute for color. Related Images:
